I agree completely that it is the material and the information rather than the medium which are important. My biggest concerns with this school’s move were the lack of (public) presence by the media specialist, the replacement of the reference desk with a coffee bar and the number (13 I believe) of Kindles. Does this mean that only 13 students may check out books at one time? Of course I read only one article on the topic, so I could have missed some points, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out and whether it sparks similar decisions in other schools.
