My blog was the recipient of the only Honorable Mention ever awarded on the LISNews “Top 10 Librarian Blogs to Read in 2010”. Read and you’ll see why. This blog has also received First Place in the Salem Press Blog Awards in 2010.
I am the creator of the Facebook Group called “People for a Library Themed Ben & Jerry’s Flavor” which has been reported internationally. I also moderate the Save NJ Libraries Facebook group with over 15,000 members. I also use Facebook to organize librarian social meetups on a fairly (ir)regular basis; this allows librarians from all over the state to come, have a drink, and chat with their fellow librarians.
You can follow me on Twitter. Every now and again, I ask my Twitter followers a library-related question with the #andypoll hashtag. It has been the inspiration for some blog posts as well as received some excellent feedback. I didn’t invent the #followalibrarian hashtag, but I did promote the hell out of it early on. After a year, it is still going strong.
I am the caretaker of the A View From Your Desk Tumblr, which is people submit pictures of their librarian workspace. I have my own personal Tumblr which has been christened Idea Lab.

My name is Emily and I’m an MLIS student at Rutgers. This semester I have an internship with the Collingswood Public Library in NJ. They want to begin offering ebooks so I am looking into different platforms for them. I wanted to reach out and see if you would be up for answering a few questions about what’s out there for public libraries right now.
